Online Advertising and the Economic Downturn

Probloggers and Netrepreneurs rejoice! Online business models seem to weather the worldwide economic well.
The world today is belt-tightening, but online advertising has surprisingly been affected less than other business models. Even with economic and business issues around the world, businesses are still paying a premium to reach their online audiences.
The Internet offers big business potential. Apparently, this is comprised mostly of tech lovers. While most businesses who have been witnessing the hard times in real life are trying to slash their marketing budgets, they still advertise online, because of the effectiveness of targetted advertising in promoting business products and services.
