Kids Getting Poor Education Because of the Net?
April 5th, 2008 by Frank
I believe that today’s kid should feel lucky with the benefits of the Internet. It’s not just with the ease of doing research, but also the ease of communication! So kids can actually discuss lessons with peers. The Web is also becoming more interactive every day. It makes easier for students to study, rather than just hitting the books, the library, or reading up on current events in the daily paper.
However, what I find strange is that students today even have to get the help of tutors for extra lessons. I think this should not be the case. Perhaps the educational systems around the world are upping the ante, in terms of their standards, but that should not be an excuse.
This makes me ask, is the Internet good for educating children, or is it all fun and games for kids today?
