Great Design Makes for Good Blogging
March 15th, 2008 by Frank
It’s a misconception that blogging is just all about writing and content. This is not entirely correct. One important aspect of blogging is design. And this is not only in terms of aesthetics and looks. Design entails the entire user experience.
Great design means a site that is accessible and readable. It does not have too much complications, and everything is neatly arranged in places where user can easily access functions and features.
Great design involves quick loading. Web elements like videos and audio are great for multimedia aids. But not everyone might have broadband, and those on slow connections would have a hard time loading media-heavy sites.
Remember that your site’s design is the first thing that a reader sees. So be sure to choose a good layout, good fonts, good color scheme, and implement good navigation aids!
